Welcome to my new blog! I will be using this space to share updates about new products in the shop, fun collaborations, and behind the scenes. Sometimes you can't fit everything in an Instagram caption! Up first, my process behind the new tea towels.
I have always been fascinated by vintage tea towels, and they are one of the first products I thought of when I wanted to create a collection of handmade goods. There is something so nostalgic and whimsical about them, and I'm especially inspired by mid-century designs like Vera Neumann's colorful prints, or simply yearly calendar designs with fun illustrations.

This first collection of screen printed tea towels was inspired by poppies, and I created a fun pattern with abstracted leaves, dots, and smaller flowers to balance out the big blooms. Below, one of my first poppy illustrations that I later repainted in sumi ink which was more suitable for screen printing.
I'm proud to say that these towels are screen printed and sewn in the USA in small batches. I'm really excited to work on more designs to come! Are there any designs you would like to see in the future?
